Once again, Starlooks Starbox stumped me with their lookbooks! Their July Sneak Peak had me thinking we would get an eyeshadow palette and that the yellow/gold shadow was from our June box. The only think I got right was that it was BRIGHT!!
This month’s box was curated by the Asian-American band, Nylon Pink.

Tendergloss in Pooh Bear I love Starlook’s tenderglosses! They are a rich balm gloss and the color can be sheer or intense. Pooh Bear is very vibrant ~ I would never think of wearing a orange-red lipstick, but I will with a tendergloss! Retail value $13.00
Eyeshadow in Traffic Yellow I was hoping for an eyeshadow palette, like Hong Kong (which I have purchased now – lol), but getting a single eyeshadow is fine as well 😀 However, I was a bit disappointed that we have gotten two yellow eye shadows in a row with our Starboxes. I will have to do a side by side comparison to see how different they are. If I never get another yellow eye shadow, I will be fine. Between last month’s sun eyeliner and this eye shadow, this will last me til I die. I can use this as a highlighter for my eyes as well. Retail value $12.00
Lip Pencil in Tipsy This was our bonus, but alas, I have received Tipsy twice ~ once in my Ipsy bag last year and also in a Starlooks Birthday box. I do not care for the color and it is not pink as the Starblast email images show (see below for the Starblast email). It is a very bright coral color that I cannot wear. I reached out to Starlooks because I had received this color before from them (no dups..they promise that) and I will exchange this for the Berry Blend lip pencil, which is a satin berry color. Starlooks has one of the best customer service departments out there. Retail value $12.00
Eye Pencil in Blue Chill OMG. I am a mermaid! This is a beautiful electric shimmery blue that reminds me of the Aegean Sea. I love this color and will wear it ~ it goes on nice and smooth as well. I do not see this color in their shop, so think might be a brand new color. Retail value $12.00
Swatches with flash: Pooh Bear tendergloss, Blue Chill eyeliner, Traffic Yellow eye eyeshadow
I decided to do swatches of last month’s eye liner pot color in Sun against the eye shadow in Traffic Yellow. They are different ~ Sun is more of a golden yellow, very rich, warm and buttery, and Traffic Yellow is more cool toned, with hints of mint green undertones.

I had purchased a couple of tenderglosses recently ~ Darlin and Babe ~ was concerned that, along with Pooh Bear, they were all too similar. I did another side by side comparison swatch ~ Pooh Bear is the most brightest, vibrant color in an orange-red, Darlin is more of a soft peach/coral, very sheer and Babe is red-orange that isn’t as bright as Pooh Bear and is more sheer than Pooh Bear, but not as sheer as Darlin. I am pleased that these 3 tenderglosses have enough differences within their color.

I also got a temporary tattoo, but sorry, I won’t use it. In August, there will be more sets picked by Nylon Pink and I have a coupon code, which is for 10% off at Starlooks ~ NYLONPINK ~ and that expires on 9/1/2014. The total value of this box was $49;00 and I paid $17.68. I will use all products (re: exchanging tipsy for berry blend) and am most excited to try out the Blue Chill Eye Pencil! I am pleased that there were four items in this month’s box, but really wished that they had given us a different color for the eyeshadow, even though I will use it.
